1. GENERAL
Rooroll is a cryptocurrency-first platform designed for fast, low-friction play, and for standard activity we do not require identity verification up front. However, the Website adheres to and complies with "Know Your Customer" (KYC) principles, which aim to prevent financial crime and money laundering through client identification and due diligence, and we reserve the right, at any time, to ask for any KYC documentation we deem necessary to determine the identity and location of a user of the Website. We reserve the right to restrict the service, deposits, or withdrawals until identity is sufficiently determined, or for any other reason in our sole discretion based on the applicable legal framework. We take a risk-based approach and perform due diligence checks and ongoing monitoring of clients and transactions. As per money laundering regulations, we utilise three stages of due diligence, depending on the risk, transaction, and customer type:
SDD — Simplified Due Diligence, used in instances of low-risk activity that does not meet the thresholds for further checks.
CDD — Customer Due Diligence, the standard for verification and identification.
EDD — Enhanced Due Diligence, used for high-risk customers, large transactions, or special cases.
Separately and in addition to the above, when a user's aggregate activity exceeds a threshold set by the Website, or requests a withdrawal, or attempts or completes a transaction that is deemed suspicious, it may become compulsory for them to complete the full KYC process before further deposits, play, or withdrawals are permitted.
During this process, the user may be asked to input some basic details about themselves and then upload:
A copy of a Government-Issued Photo ID (in some cases, front and back, depending on the document).
A selfie of themselves holding the ID document.
A proof of residence (bank statement / utility bill).
Where relevant, confirmation of ownership of the deposit or withdrawal wallet.
For the foregoing documents, the following requirements shall be met:
Full name matches the client's name.
Documents are valid and not close to expiry.
The owner is over 18 years of age.
The country specified in the identification and residence documents must not be among the restricted jurisdictions mentioned in the Website's Terms of Service, including all FATF blacklisted countries.
2. NOTES ON THE "KYC PROCESS"
When the KYC process is unsuccessful, the reason is documented, and a support ticket is created in the system. The ticket number, along with an explanation, is communicated back to the user. Once all proper documents are in our possession and approved, the account is cleared to continue.
